

The Sound of Music fills Albert College
Classic musical and movie, The Sound of Music, seemed like the perfect fit for this year’s production at Albert College, said director Leslie Austin. “I chose this show this year because we had an exceptionally large amount of really strong female singers at our school, and so we thought this was the perfect year to do it to showcase all of their talents,” she said. Life of a costume designer
Linda Serres is the costume co-ordinator for the Belleville Theatre Guild.
She was introduced to the role 10 years ago by Loyalist College co-worker Liz Marshall, who's been with the guild for 45 years.
Marshall helped Serres, who didn't know much about costume design when she started, with guidance and books. From there Serres has developed as a designer and gets constantly approached by directors asking her to do costumes for shows.

Double Double toil and trouble
A night of two one-act plays going by the name of Double Double will be taking place at the Belleville Theatre Guild Feb. 2-18. My Narrator and The Death of Me by Norm Foster were selected by the guild after the original show selection, Melville Boys, couldn't be cast.
